Car Hire’s Corfu Airport FAQ

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AND THE MAXIMUM DURATION OF CAR RENTAL?

Minimum rental charge is 1 day (24 hours). You can rent for an hour but with a daily price. We can also offer monthly car rentals. To get a monthly offer please contact us.

HOW MUCH FUEL DO I GET WHEN I RECEIVE THE CAR?

Our fuel policy is same with the same amount that you receive the vehicle, should respectively return it. We measure the fuel quantity in eights and on the rental agreement is mentioned the fuel present in the tank at departure (1/8 means almost empty, 8/8 means full).

HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY BOOKING?

Upon collection of the vehicle you can pay with your credit card, debit card or cash.

WHAT OTHER SERVICES CAN I GET WITH THE RENTAL VEHICLE?

During your booking you can choose the following extra features:

Additional Driver: Authorize another person to drive your rental car. All authorized drivers are covered by the same insurances with the main driver. Available on request with an extra charge per day.

Baby Seats: You can choose a baby seat during your online reservation. There are available two types of seats depending on your child’s weight.

HOW CAN I BOOK A CAR FOR TODAY?

Through our online reservation system you can book a car for at least 48 hours later. For last minute bookings you can call us directly and pick up your car (depending on availability).

WHO ELSE CAN DRIVE THE RENTED CAR?

All cars can be driven by up to 2 authorized drivers. A second driver may be declared during booking or upon pick up. Not authorized drivers are not covered by any insurance.

CAN I DRIVE OFF ROAD?

All our rental cars are allowed to be driven on paved roads. Damages that may be caused from off road driving (wheels, tires, underbody) are not covered by the insurance.

CAN I TRAVEL FROM THE ISLAND TO THE MAINLAND?

No, our cars are not allowed to be driven outside the Corfu island.

CAR PICKUP AND DROP OFF

WHAT HOURS CAN I COLLECT OR RETURN A RENTAL VEHICLE?

Our office is open from 8:00 to 22:00. You can collect or return a vehicle beyond our operating hours with an extra charge of 15 euro.

HOW DO I FIND THE RENTAL DESK AT THE AIRPORT?

Our representative holding a sign with our logo will be waiting for you in the main arrivals hall on your exit from luggage reclaim. He will lead you to the airport parking to collect your car.

MY FLIGHT ARRIVES LATE AT NIGHT. HOW CAN I GET A CAR THAT TIME?

You can pick up or deliver a vehicle beyond opening hours. The service is available at extra cost.

WHAT IF I RETURN THE CAR LATE?

You can return the car up to 30 minutes later than the agreed time. Otherwise you will be charged one additional day.

CAN I RETURN THE CAR EARLIER?

Yes, you should inform us about the new desired day and time. There is no refund of money in case of return before the agreed time.

HOW CAN I EXTEND MY RENTAL?

You should contact us as soon as possible the cost of the extension is calculated based on the current rates with price per day. During high season it may not be possible to extend a rental.

HOW CAN I RECOVER PERSONAL ITEMS THAT WERE FORGOTTEN IN THE RENTAL VEHICLE?

Any personal items found in the vehicle are held in our office. You can contact the office to pick them up.

WHAT IF I GET FINED FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATION?

All traffic violations are renter’s responsibility for paying the amount to the competent authority.

CAR USSAGE

THE CAR DOESN'T START. WHAT CAN I DO?

If the car doesn’t start contact our office.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF DAMAGE?

You should immediately call the office.

WHEN DO I GET A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE?

If the damage is not repairable you will get a replacement vehicle with no additional cost.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT?

Immediately contact us on the number written on your rental agreement. Our colleague will guide you through the phone on what to do next.

WHAT CAN I DO IF I HAVE A FLAT TIRE?

If there is a partially or totally loss of air pressure you should replace the the wheel with the spare. If you do not know how to change the wheel contact us at the number indicated on the rental agreement. Keep in mind that no insurance will coverage damages to wheels and tires.

CAN I REPAIR THE FLAT GTIRE ON A LOCAL TIRE SHOP?

Yes, but you need to contact us first to get an approval.

I'M LOCKED OUT OF THE CAR. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

In that case you should contact our office. If any key is lost or destroyed please keep in mind that there is additional charge 150 euro for a new key.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF VEHICLE BURGLARY?

There is no insurance coverage for vehicle burglary, therefore we take no liability for loss of personal belongings.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF CAR THEFT?

In case of partial or total theft of the rented vehicle you should immediately contact us at the number indicated on the rental agreement.
